Meet Chef Omar
Chef Omar Sybblis, this aspiring Master Chef has a strong interest in the art of Charcuterie, making patés, developing sauces and preserves. He has worked for over ten years in the local culinary field with experience working in restaurants, boutique hotels and larger all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica. His passion for cooking is fueled by his fascination with exotic spices as well as his growing collection of books that he uses to expand his knowledge of all things culinary.
Chef Omar’s foray in the culinary world began as a second career after pursuing his interest in the local music industry in artist management. His tenure in that industry provided the opportunity to travel extensively in Europe. This exposure to the diversity of the culinary arts prompted his transition into the field. This Chef has been described as being intuitive with a gift to pair flavours making an exceptional culinary experience.

Chef Omar is said to love to prepare Italian Provera Cucina and Provençal cuisine-country cooking from Provence and Tuscany! He takes pleasure in cooking with fresh herbs maximizing their flavors to transform a dish. He also enjoys exploring and experimenting with ingredients from different cultures to stretch the boundaries of traditional Caribbean cuisine.
